Creating a Positive Classroom Culture Foster a warm, nurturing, and grace-filled classroom environment that promotes camaraderie and a love for learning. Establish a consistent classroom routine and schedule to support student success. Demonstrate a deep understanding of young children's developmental, social, and emotional needs.
Encourage problem-solving skills in a creative and supportive manner. Instruction & Student Growth Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that align with curricular objectives and student needs. Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying abilities, collaborating with parents and resource teachers to support exceptional learners.
Promote active participation through interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and engaging instructional methods. Provide individual support and enrichment opportunities to challenge students at their own pace. Classroom Management & Student Engagement Maintain a structured yet flexible classroom environment that fosters respect, safety, and learning.
Implement positive, fair, and consistent classroom management strategies. Create an inviting and organized learning space that enhances student engagement. Use varied assessment methods to gauge student understanding and progress. Communication & Parent Partnership Regularly communicate with parents through newsletters, progress updates, and timely feedback.
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, assignments, and classroom activities. Foster positive and respectful interactions with students, parents, and colleagues, modeling Christ-like love and encouragement.
Requirements
Physical Requirements Use a computer (visual and keyboarding) for long periods. Able to remain stationary (sitting or standing) 50% of the time. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. At times requires stooping, bending, turning, pushing, pulling, reaching and climbing stairs (2-story). Use hands, fingers, and arms to reach, grip, and maneuver objects.
Must be able to respond quickly to sounds (fire/security alarms). Work in noisy and crowded school environments. Frequent walking throughout the campus.
