Scripts Software Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Security Engineer to support and enhance our Cybersecurity Program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures that protect information systems, network infrastructure, and organizational data. This role involves vulnerability management, risk assessments, incident response, security architecture, and compliance activities to ensure a strong security posture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Information Security Program. Monitor security events, alerts, and incidents using Microsoft Azure Sentinel and other SOC/SIEM platforms. Perform security incident handling, including alert triage, investigation, containment, remediation, escalation, and incident documentation.

Configure, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure Defender security capabilities across relevant cloud workloads and infrastructure. Analyze security logs and correlate events across endpoints, servers, networks, applications, and cloud environments to identify potential threats. Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and security reviews across enterprise infrastructure.

Track vulnerability findings and coordinate remediation activities with infrastructure, application, and IT teams. Maintain information security policies, procedures, standards, and operational documentation. Investigate suspicious activities, security breaches, malware events, unauthorized access, and other cybersecurity incidents.

Develop and implement preventive security measures to strengthen security controls. Configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain security tools and infrastructure. Prepare security reports, dashboards, incident reports, and technical documentation for management and compliance requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to identify and address security risks.

Support security awareness activities and provide cybersecurity guidance to employees and technical teams. Perform periodic reviews of security controls and recommend improvements across endpoint, network, application, cloud, and infrastructure environments. Participate in security investigations, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to identify opportunities for improving security operations.

Requirements

Mandatory Technical Requirements 3–5 years of hands-on SOC/SIEM experience. Mandatory hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Defender. Mandatory hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Sentinel. Strong experience in security incident handling and incident response. Experience monitoring and investigating security alerts, events, and logs.

Strong understanding of Security Operations Center processes and SIEM-based threat monitoring. Experience with vulnerability management and security risk assessments. Knowledge of Information Security, Cybersecurity, and Security Operations. Knowledge of security monitoring, threat detection, incident investigation, and remediation.

Understanding of GRC and security frameworks, including HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, and NIST. Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems. Understanding of security architecture and security controls. Knowledge of cloud security, particularly Microsoft Azure. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Optional / Preferred Technical Skills Tenable Vulnerability Management (Tenable VM) Rapid7 / Insight VM Email Security solutions Experience with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools. Experience with threat intelligence and security analytics. Experience with firewall, IDS/IPS, endpoint, and network security technologies.

Experience with third-party risk assessments and security due diligence.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare information security is preferred. Experience working in a 24x7 SOC or enterprise security operations environment. Knowledge of applications, databases, middleware, and related security controls. Experience with security incident investigation and root-cause analysis. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Education

& Certifications Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR High School diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
