Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Office Administrator to join our team. This dual-function role is critical in ensuring a seamless front-of-house experience while providing essential administrative support to the Facilities function. This role combines reception responsibilities (approximately 30%) with facilities administration (70%).
You will be the first point of contact for visitors while also playing a key role in maintaining the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the office environment. Please note that this opportunity is based in Durban, Kwa. Zulu-Natal and is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract . Responsibilities
Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience Manage incoming calls and direct enquiries appropriately Oversee visitor registration and access processes Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are prepared Facilities Administration (70%): Provide administrative support to the Facilities function Coordinate vendors, service providers, and maintenance requests Track and manage facilities-related queries to ensure timely resolution Assist in maintaining workplace standards and office operations Support communication between staff, suppliers, and the Facilities lead Key Deliverables Ensure smooth day-to-day office operations through efficient coordination and administration Maintain a high standard of front-of-house experience for all stakeholders Enable effective facilities management by supporting administrative processes and service delivery Prevent operational delays by ensuring timely handling of requests and communication Qualifications Previous experience in reception, office administration, or facilities support Strong organisational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented Ability to work independently and manage competing prioritie Why This Role Matters This position plays a vital role in maintaining operational continuity.
