The Millwright (433A) will maintain, troubleshoot, repair and optimize plant facilities, machinery, overhead/wall cranes and equipment.
The Millwright will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, maintaining high safety standards, and driving continuous improvement through preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance. Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and overhead and wall cranes Rapidly troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns (e.
g., CNC punching/shearing lines, material transport systems, overhead/wall cranes, band saws, welding systems, and roll forming lines). Assemble, align, and install new machinery and mechanical components, including conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, motors, shafts, etc. Diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid power system issues using technical schematics.
Champion a safe working environment by strict adherence to lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols, working-at-heights standards, and all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S lean manufacturing principles. Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring mechanical issues to develop and implement long-term solutions.
Accurate tracking of work orders, maintenance logs, and support spare parts inventory using our internal database. Collaborate with supervisors and production teams on special projects and facility improvements as assigned. Other duties as assigned Active 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright License is required. Overhead crane technician experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics. Proficiency in MIG and ARC welding. Hands-on experience operating shop machine tools (lathe, milling machine, grinder, and standard hand/power tools). Working knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and Working at Heights/ Scissor & Boom lifts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic proficiency with computer systems (e.g., Maintenance Management systems /work order software, Google Workspace). Prior experience in a Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement environment. Strong problem-solving mindset with demonstrated root-cause analysis skills.
