Accounts Executive

Our client, a professional services firm based in St Julian's, Malta, is looking for a highly organised and motivated Accounts Executive to join their growing team. Reporting to the Senior Accountants and management in charge, you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients, supporting them day to day with their accounting needs.

This is an hybrid role offering a salary of up to €34K, plus annual bonus. Please note that only candidates already based in Malta will be considered. Role & Responsibilities Update clients' bookkeeping monthly, including bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and supplier and customer balances Prepare VAT returns accurately and on time, ready for senior review Prepare year-end management accounts, along with the supporting schedules and working papers Make sure all work follows accounting policies and the firm's procedures Liaise with auditors, responding to queries and providing the information and schedules they need Work with other departments across the firm to gather the documents and information needed to complete your tasks on time Build good working relationships with clients, answering their queries and keeping them updated on progress Plan your workload around set deadlines, and flag any issues or delays early to your manager Education, Skills & Experience 2+ years of experience in a client accounting role Fluency in English both written and spoken Solid understanding of GAPSME and IFRS Ability to work without supervision Excellent time management skills Strong prioritisation and organisational skills Keen eye for detail with the ability to multitask and respect deadlines Able to handle confidential information About the Role Salary of up to €34K plus annual bonus Hybrid with flexible working arrangements Reduced working hours during the summer period Career growth opportunities Supportive and professional working environment Kindly apply with your detailed CV in English.
