Highlights of the job We are hiring a full-time permanent Manager, Regulatory & Management Reporting position working out of Edmonton, AB . As the Regulatory and Management Reporting Manager, you’ll oversee the financial and regulatory reporting that supports Energy Services.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Finance, you’ll be responsible for coordinating financial information for non-energy rate applications, overseeing annual Rule 5 reporting and rate calculations for S ervice L evel A greements with affiliate s and non-affiliates , and reviewing monthly cost variance analysis. You’ll bring a focus on accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement, ensuring regulatory financial information is delivered on time and meets business and regulatory needs.

Where we work: This position is eligible for our hybrid work program, offering the flexibility to work remotely while requiring a minimum of two days per week onsite. Initial onboarding will be completed onsite. What you’d be responsible for Contributing to the Regulatory and Management Reporting group’s plans and priorities, ensuring alignment with EPCOR and Energy Services strategies.

Clarifying roles, responsibilities and accountabilities within the Energy Services Finance team and across EPCOR to support effective cross-functional collaboration. Leading, coaching and developing a high performing team. Developing and implementing deliverables that support the Regulatory and Management Reporting business plan, while ensuring direct reports’ priorities and performance expectations are aligned.

Ensuring reporting requirements and timelines are met while identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual effort. Developing, implementing and reviewing processes to support compliance with policies, standards and regulatory requirements and mitigate risk. Supervising the development and maintenance of regulatory models, dashboards and financial reports supporting Energy Services.

Overseeing forecasting, analysis and calculations for Energy Services’ non-energy rate applications, including up to three-year forecasts and reports and analyses required to respond to regulatory information requests. Supervising the preparation and filing of annual Rule 5 regulatory reporting, ensuring information is accurate and complete.

Overseeing rate calculations for Service Level Agreements with affiliate and non-affiliate customers, including reviewing monthly fee-for-service invoices. Planning and coordinating the financial and non-financial components of the annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Overseeing monthly variance analysis for operating and capital expenditures.

Performing other related duties as assigned by the Associate Director, Finance or Controller, Energy Services. What’s required to be successful Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) is required A degree in business is required 6+ years of accounting experience is required 1 + years of experience in managerial / supervisory position 3+ years of experience with a major financial application system , such as Oracle Financial, SAP or Workday Insights Understanding and ability to apply GAAP/IFRS Knowledge of the electricity industry and regulatory environment Advanced modeling skills and knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel and Power BI Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present information to a variety of audiences in both formal and informal settings Experience with budgeting software (e.

g. Workday Adaptive Planning, Office Connect, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management, Hyperion, etc.) Experience preparing regulatory cost of services and compliance reporting As the successful candidate, you bring strong leadership skills and a genuine focus on developing others, helping team members build their capabilities and grow in their careers.
