Summary: Ref #: S-NP-9175056 Profession: Nurse Practitioner Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Waupun, WI Start Date: 9/7/26- 3/6/27 Duration: 26 weeks Schedule: M-F; 7:00 AM-3:30 PM or 4x10s Rate: $80/hr Requirements: Active Wisconsin RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification (with prescriptive authority). Current DEA registration and BLS certification.
Knowledge of advanced nursing theory, pharmacology, diagnostics, and correctional healthcare. Ability to work independently, manage diverse cases, and respond effectively in emergencies.
Responsibilities
Conduct physical exams, assess health status, and establish medical diagnoses. Prescribe and monitor medications; order and interpret diagnostic tests. Provide preventive, acute, and chronic illness management to persons in custody. Maintain accurate medical records in the electronic health system. Participate in quality improvement, staff training, and patient education programs.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support the DOC’s Reentry and evidence-based care initiatives.
