Position Summary

We are looking for a Junior AI & RPA Engineer to join our engineering team. You will work across AI, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), backend services, integrations, and workflow automation. You will help build intelligent automation solutions that connect applications, process data, reduce manual work, and improve operational efficiency across healthcare workflows.

This role is a good fit for an early-career engineer who enjoys both software development and automation and wants hands-on experience with AI, RPA, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud technologies. Because we work with sensitive healthcare data, you will also play an important role in following secure development practices and protecting PHI and other sensitive information.

What You Will Do? Develop and maintain AI-powered automation and RPA solutions. Build and maintain RPA workflows using tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar platforms. Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and automation components using Python, TypeScript, Java, or similar technologies.

Build intelligent workflows that combine AI, APIs, RPA, and business process automation. Support the development of AI-powered features using LLMs and modern AI frameworks. Work with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), semantic search, and AI-assisted workflows. Support the development of agentic AI applications and orchestration workflows.

Integrate automation solutions with internal applications, databases, third-party APIs, and enterprise systems. Build and maintain data pipelines and data-processing workflows that support AI and automation use cases. Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or similar technologies. Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.

Translate business requirements and process documentation into reliable technical workflows. Test, debug, monitor, and maintain AI and RPA solutions. Troubleshoot automation failures and backend integration issues. Participate in code reviews and follow software engineering best practices. Create and maintain technical documentation for automation workflows, integrations, and services.

Work closely with product, engineering, QA, and other teams to deliver automation solutions. Use modern AI development tools such as Codex, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools to improve development, debugging, testing, and productivity while maintaining responsibility for code quality and security. Follow secure engineering practices when working with healthcare data, PHI, and HIPAA-related requirements.

Required Knowledge/Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. One year of professional or relevant hands-on experience in software development, AI, RPA, automation, or a related field. Good programming experience with Python, TypeScript, Java, or a similar programming language.

Familiarity with RPA concepts and automation workflows. Familiarity with at least one RPA platform such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Rocketbot, or similar tools. Understanding of REST APIs and system integrations. Understanding of backend development and microservices concepts. Experience with or good understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or similar databases.

Basic understanding of AI/LLM concepts and integrating AI services into applications. Familiarity with RAG, vector databases, semantic search, or similar AI concepts. Basic understanding of data pipelines and data processing. Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows. Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and code quality practices.

Understanding of cloud computing concepts. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Fluent English, written and spoken. Ability to work effectively with a global engineering team. Experience using AI coding and development tools such as Codex, Claude, Cursor, or similar tools.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Experience building RPA workflows using UiPath or another RPA platform. Experience integrating RPA solutions with REST APIs, databases, or enterprise applications. Experience with Java/Spring Boot. Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar Python frameworks. Familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph.

Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol). Experience with agentic AI applications and AI orchestration workflows. Experience with vector databases and semantic search. Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms. Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications. Familiarity with Kubernetes. Familiarity with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices. Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana. Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools. Experience with healthcare systems, APIs, FHIR, HL7, or healthcare interoperability. Experience working with HIPAA, PHI, or other regulated or sensitive data.

Experience with process mapping, business process improvement, or workflow optimization. RPA or AI-related certifications are a plus. Spanish language skills are a plus. What We Look For?
