Associate Account Manager

Why Alera Group Meaningful Impact: Help clients and employees navigate benefits programs that drive retention, engagement, and satisfaction Growth & Learning: Opportunities to deepen your expertise and gain exposure to a variety of clients and industries Collaborative Culture: Work in a team-oriented environment that values accountability, partnership, and the principles of The Collaborative Way RESPONSIBILITIES What You'll Do / Your Impact Client Partnership & Service Excellence Serve as a trusted day-to-day resource for clients, providing responsive support and guidance Coordinate renewals, open enrollments, and ongoing service activities while partnering with carriers, vendors, and internal teams Create client-facing communications, presentations, and benefit education materials that support a positive client experience Operational & Compliance Excellence Maintain accurate client records and documentation while managing service workflows and deliverables Support compliance activities and stay current on employee benefits regulations and industry requirements Ensure high-quality execution across all aspects of account management and client service Growth & Retention Partner with Account Executives, Sales, and Marketing teams to support renewal strategies and long-term client success Assist with benefit analysis, carrier marketing, and strategic recommendations that align with client goals Contribute to client retention through proactive service, relationship building, and problem resolution QUALIFICATIONS What You Bring Required Life and Health insurance license 1–3 years of employee benefits, account management, client service, or related experience Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience with employee benefits renewals, open enrollment, and carrier relations Knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and related compliance requirements Experience with agency management systems or benefits administration platforms Core Competencies Client-focused mindset Accountability and attention to detail Strong collaboration and communication skills Problem-solving and organizational excellence Adaptability and commitment to service quality ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Compensation: Hourly range: $31.00 – $40.87 per hour Eligible for performance-based bonus: Yes Benefits: Alera Group offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, 401(k), generous PTO, and more.
