Job Summary
The Accounts Payable OJT provides administrative support to the Accounts Payable team by assisting in the initial review of Requests for Payment (RFPs), monitoring and follow-up of cash advance liquidations, validation of supporting documents, records management, and other clerical tasks. The role aims to support efficient AP operations while providing the trainee with practical exposure to finance and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the initial review of Requests for Payment (RFPs) to ensure completeness of supporting documents. Monitor and follow up pending cash advance liquidations with employees and stakeholders. Organize, file, and maintain AP documents and records. Assist in data encoding, report preparation, and tracking of AP-related transactions.
Support document retrieval and audit requirements as needed. Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support Accounts Payable operations. Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding document submission and clarification of requirements. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook. Detail-oriented with good organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment. Learning Opportunities Exposure to Accounts Payable processes and controls. Understanding of payment request and cash advance liquidation procedures. Development of administrative, analytical, and professional communication skills. Experience working in a Shared Services/Finance environment.
