• Locums Coverage Period: Sep 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Days and Nights, 7a – 7p and 7p – 7a Hours Per Shift: 12 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 85 patients per day (31,000 annual) Case Mix: Emergency Medicine FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: Level IV EMR System: Medhost PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 90 days Temporary Privileges Available: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery Licenses: Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License; Active Texas DEA with Texas address DEA / CDS: Active Texas DEA with schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, & 5 required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS required if not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or related specialty Other Qualifications: Two years of case logs, two years of CME/CEU documentation DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages presenting to the ED Manage a high-volume patient panel (31,000 annual visits) with 24-hour physician coverage Perform emergency procedures as required, including but not limited to laceration repair, intubation, and central line placement Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely care Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the Medhost EMR system
