AP Accountant (Contract to Perm)

Contract to Hire – Accounts Payable Accountant Location: Fort Mill, SC Schedule: Onsite Compensation: $28–$32/hour Position Type: Contract to Hire Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team in a contract to hire capacity. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced manufacturing environment and has strong experience processing high volume invoices, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the month end close process.

Responsibilities

• Process high volume weekly invoices accurately and timely
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation
• Review and reconcile vendor statements
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
• Assist with weekly check runs and ACH/wire payments
• Maintain accurate AP records and documentation
• Support month end close activities including accruals and reconciliations
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls Qualifications
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably within manufacturing
• Experience processing high volume invoices
• Strong understanding of AP processes and reconciliations
• ERP system experience preferred
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work onsite in Fort Mill, VA
