• Locums Coverage Period: Aug 03, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour coverage Hours Per Shift: 24 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 52 patients per day Case Mix: Consistent with Emergency Medicine procedures FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 6 ED Beds, 2 Fast Track, 4 ICU Beds, 35 Hospital Beds Trauma Level: N/A EMR System: EPIC Support Staff Available: NPs, PAs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BE/BC in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Licenses: Active unrestricted LA Medical License, DEA License w/ LA address, LA Controlled Substance & Supervising Physician License DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS Experience: Residency Completion in EM, FM or IM. New Grad Accepted. Other Qualifications: CME past 2 years, 10 hours Trauma/Stroke CMEs annually, case logs past 2 years DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide 24-hour physician coverage in the Emergency Department, including acute medical and surgical care Supervise and oversee NP/PA coverage during 10-hour shifts Manage care for patients presenting with stroke, trauma, and other emergency conditions Complete required sedation modules during onboarding and reappointment Maintain compliance with all immunization, case log, and CME requirements
