About us

Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project.

This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. The proposed improvements will include the addition of elevated managed lanes to I-35, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/I-410 North interchange, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/Loop 1604 interchange, and widening of Loop 1604 in Bexar and Guadalupe Counties.

Job Description: Post-Tensioning Technician Location: San Antonio , TX Project: I35NEX Central Project Company Alamo NEX Construction LLC Description: The position of Post-tensioning Technician will perform post-tensioning functions for Equipment department of Alamo NEX Construction LLC of the I35 NEX project.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure controls are established and followed. Participates in pre-project and pre-task planning activities then communicat es with field crews . Motivat es team members to work together to accomplish post-tensioning tasks, coordinate work activities with other construction project activities and assign work to employees .

Ensur e crews are operating all tools and equipment in a safe, proper and productive manner . Provid es training and assistance to crews in the performance of post-tensioning work-related tasks . Complet es essential paperwork in a clear and accurate manner Provides safety leadership . Control of materials and equipment .

Supervise the installation of post-tensioning materials Tendon installation of Tecpresa PT system . Stressing of Tepcresa PT system tendons and bars . Grout trials of the PT tendons. Grout and seal duct vents & grout caps . Post grout inspection . Quality assurance of the deliverables production in the project . Any other reasonable request deemed necessary by management .

Equipment maintenance and gauge calibrations Qualifications: 2-4 years of work experience in similar document control positions preferred . Level-2 Multistrand and Grouted PT Specialist (PTI) ASBI Certified Grouting Technician Must possess e xcellent organization and communication skills . Organizational Relationships: Assists and works in conjunction with the Shared Resources department and construction departments as needed .

Work Environment The job is mostly performed outdoors . Work is usually completed during night shift.
