Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform. Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards. Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products. Be a productive member of the team.
Requirements
Analyze the existing Excel-based calculator and its core mathematical formulas related to Stream Function Assessment Method (SFAM) values. Use a selection matrix to evaluate Excel and potential application frameworks based on user-friendliness, accessibility, automation, accuracy, and adaptability. Prepare and present written and verbal recommendations to DSL mitigation staff on the most suitable format for the final tool.
Convert the SCMAC into the selected application format, including real-time data validation, error flagging, automation, and protection of internal formulas. Conduct comprehensive testing with DSL staff using real-world stream project data. Proven experience in systems analysis, application development, and software evaluation.
Strong expertise in migrating complex, formula-intensive spreadsheets into commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software or modern application frameworks, with a strong focus on automation and data validation. Strong understanding of UI/UX and accessibility, ensuring the application can be used across multiple devices without requiring specialized software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and present recommendations to state stakeholders.
