Job Summary
The trainee will support productivity and continuous improvement initiatives by developing and optimizing Standard Work, conducting workflow, workload, and manpower balancing studies, and identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency. Industrial Engineering trainees will assist in time studies, line balancing, and manpower rationalization, while the Software Engineering/Data Science trainee will develop AI-enabled applications, dashboards, and automation tools to improve process monitoring, data analysis, and decision-making.
Under the guidance of department supervisors and process engineers, trainees will contribute to the company's operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting in Production Processes: Assist in developing and improving Standard Work instructions to enhance process consistency and operational efficiency. Conduct time and motion studies, workflow analysis, and workload balancing to identify productivity improvement opportunities. Support manpower utilization studies and manpower rationalization initiatives through data collection and analysis.
Prepare process maps, value stream maps, and line balancing studies to eliminate waste and optimize production flow. Collect, analyze, and present production data using spreadsheets, dashboards, and other digital tools to support decision-making. Assist in identifying and implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support the development of AI-enabled applications, automation tools, dashboards, and digital solutions to improve reporting, monitoring, and operational efficiency (Software Engineering/Data Science trainee). Collaborate with Production, Process Engineering, and Quality teams in implementing process improvements and monitoring results.
Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations related to productivity, manpower, and process improvement projects. Comply with all company safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures while participating in continuous learning and improvement activities.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a Technical Vocational Course or Bachelor’s Degree program in Industrial Engineering, Software/Computer Engineering, Data Science or related fields. Must be in the latter part of the academic program (preferably 3rd or 4th year) or have completed relevant coursework in production or manufacturing.
