About the role

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer based in Denmark, you will serve as the technical lead for the control systems of our Burner Management System (BMS). You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the proposal stage through execution, providing your technical expertise to ensure successful project delivery.

The role may occasionally require planned travel to support projects, leveraging your advanced technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and strong relationship-building skills. The Product Control Execution (PCE) department is responsible for delivering the control systems for our solutions, from project engineering and system execution through to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

While site commissioning may occasionally be required, it is not a core responsibility of the role. You will also be expected to provide technical troubleshooting and support, both remotely and through occasional site visits when needed.

Your responsibilities

Design, develop, and test automation solutions, including PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA systems. Create detailed electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, R&D, maintenance) to define automation requirements and integrate solutions.

Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis for new automation projects. Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation system issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Optimize existing automation processes for efficiency, reliability, and safety. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in industrial automation.

Prepare technical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance procedures, and design specifications. Participate in commissioning and start-up activities for new equipment and systems. What you bring: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Proven experience in designing and implementing industrial automation systems.

Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, Schneider Electric). Experience with HMI/SCADA development (e.g., WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware). Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus). Familiarity with electrical design software (e.

g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). Understanding of safety standards and regulations in industrial automation. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
