About the role

As a Senior Automation Service Engineer based in Denmark, you will be the trusted technical point of contact for a portfolio of Fuller customers across the EMEA region. You will build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with plant operations and engineering stakeholders, support and grow our Plant. Line Agreements and service contracts, and provide senior-level automation expertise across the customer lifecycle.

This role involves moderate, planned travel and requires a high level of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and relationship-building skills. About the department The Automation Service Department at Fuller Technologies is responsible for the long-term technical and commercial relationship with our EMEA cement plant customers, from Plant.

Line Agreements and service contracts through to upgrades, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support. The team ensures our automation solutions keep delivering value long after commissioning, and that customers see Fuller as a trusted long-term partner. This department plays a critical role in bridging our engineering and commissioning teams with real-world plant operations, delivering senior technical expertise and relationship continuity throughout the customer's automation journey.

Your Responsibilities

Act as the senior technical point of contact for a defined portfolio of EMEA cement customers, building trusted, long-term relationships with plant operations, engineering, and management stakeholders. Provide the technical credibility that underpins our Plant. Line Agreements (PLA), helping retain and strengthen long-term service agreements within your customer portfolio.

Travel periodically across the EMEA region for customer visits, technical reviews, and on-site support – moderate travel, with a focus on relationship-building rather than full-time commissioning. Coordinate between customers, contractors, and Fuller’s engineering and commissioning teams to ensure smooth delivery of service work and projects.

Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory compliance across all customer engagements. Support the wider Automation Service business by flagging upgrade, retrofit, and service opportunities identified during customer engagements. Support system upgrades, retrofits, and performance optimisation initiatives at customer sites, providing senior-level technical input.

Promote creative and innovative thinking within the team to increase efficiency of the department. Take ownership of ensuring service work is executed within established time and cost budgets. Ensure periodic project and account reviews, and reporting, are completed on time. Provide senior-level troubleshooting support and technical guidance on Fuller Automation's ECS Control Center systems and other Fuller Automation products, during commissioning and post-startup phases, on-site or remotely.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve automation system issues to minimise downtime and ensure optimal plant performance. Provide technical support, training, and handover documentation to customers and operations teams. Maintain accurate service reports,, and technical documentation for traceability and continuous improvement.

Mentor and support junior engineers and commissioning specialists across the region. You bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field). 8–15+ years of experience in industrial automation, ideally within the cement or broader process industry. You bring a strong foundation in industrial automation and control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI, or DCS), ideally including Siemens platforms and Fuller Automation's ECS Control Center systems, along with hands-on troubleshooting and commissioning experience.

Knowledge of Fuller Automation's PDM (Project Data Management) system and other Fuller Automation products is advantageous, as is experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware. You have a proven track record of building and managing senior customer relationships, with commercial awareness and experience supporting service agreements or contracts.

Based in Denmark (or willing to relocate), you are fluent in English, comfortable with moderate travel across the EMEA region, and bring a proactive, ownership-driven approach that helps you collaborate well with clients and internal teams to ensure reliable system performance and high-quality service delivery.
