• Locums Coverage Period: May 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 7a – 7p & 7p – 7a (Single Doc Coverage) Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: ~68 patients per day (25k annual volume) Case Mix: Adult emergency cases, most subspecialties available except Neurosurgery FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Most adult subspecialties (except Neurosurgery) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: ABEM or ABIM/ABFM with EM Experience required Licenses: Active Louisiana license or willing to obtain Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine required Other Qualifications: IMLC preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care to patients in the emergency department Manage adult medical and surgical emergencies, utilizing available subspecialty backup (except Neurosurgery) Admit or transfer patients as clinically indicated (admission/transfer rate approximately 8%) Document all patient encounters accurately in EPIC EMR Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
