Job description

Staffinity is currently seeking a Bilingual Investment Relationship Manager. This is a permanent position based in the Greater Toronto Area. The successful candidate will be a smart, outgoing, and proactive professional responsible for building a network of high-net-worth clients (primarily in the 30–50 demographic) and providing exclusive access to income-generating alternative investment opportunities.

Because there is no cold-calling and no provided lead list, this role is a perfect fit for a natural networker who excels at entertaining prospects, hosting events, and building deep, consultative relationships. Note on Schedule: This role operates on a flexible 40-hour work week (generally Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

Because you are catering to a high-net-worth demographic, some evening and weekend availability is required to meet with clients when they are available. A personal vehicle is required for field meetings and networking.

Responsibilities

Territory & Network Growth: Build and expand a robust pipeline of high-net-worth clients through conferences, industry events, and leveraging a provided marketing budget for prospect entertainment. Consultative Presentations: Invite prospects to the office and lead engaging presentations, successfully translating complex alternative investment structures into clear, "plain language" insights for laypeople.

Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term partnerships through consistent, high-touch communication, guiding clients through every stage of the investment journey from initial discovery to proactive, long-term support. Tailored Solutions: Assess client risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and suitability to create portfolios utilizing both proprietary income-generating products and globally recognized funds.

Onboarding & Compliance: Direct the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring thorough KYC collection and strict adherence to Canadian securities regulations. Pipeline Management: Maintain meticulous activity logs and detailed client notes within CRM systems to ensure rigorous follow-up and documentation accuracy.

Qualifications

Experience: 2–3 years of sales experience dealing with financial products. Alternatively, candidates with a strong general sales background who currently have their IFIC certification underway will be strongly considered. Bilingualism: Fluency in English and either Cantonese or Mandarin is mandatory (Cantonese is strongly preferred).

Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of income-generating investment products and alternative asset classes. Communication: Exceptionally smart and outgoing demeanor, highly confident in conducting high-stakes 1:1 meetings and formal group presentations. Mobility: Must own a reliable personal vehicle for the field-based portion of the role (30%).

Professional Credentials: Active progress toward or completion of industry-recognized designations (such as IFIC, EMP, CIM, CFA, CFP, or CSC) is a significant asset.
