Job Summary
The Tool Shop Trainee will assist in the day-to-day operations of the tool shop, gaining hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing, and fabricating tools and equipment. This role is ideal for individuals seeking practical knowledge in tool management and basic mechanical operations within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of tools, dies, and equipment under supervision. Learn and apply basic machining, grinding, and fitting techniques. Inspect tools and equipment for wear, damage, and proper function. Maintain an organized and safe tool shop environment, ensuring tools are stored properly.
Support the tool shop team in preparing tools for production requirements. Follow safety protocols and guidelines strictly. Participate in on-the-job training and development programs.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a technical, vocational, or engineering program is preferred. Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and workshop safety is a plus. Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment. Good attention to detail and manual dexterity. Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
