Job Summary
Plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the warehouse and distribution processes. This role involves coordinating and overseeing the flow of materials, ensuring efficient product handling, managing inventory, and providing administrative support to the depot team. The Operations Assistant will work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth and timely operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the coordination of inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring that orders are processed, packed, and dispatched on time. Monitor and update inventory records, ensuring accuracy and proper stock levels. Support the implementation of warehouse procedures, including receiving, sorting, and storing products. Perform regular stock audits and assist in inventory reconciliation.
Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products. Assist in managing depot operations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Help oversee depot operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards. Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including product details, quantities, and delivery status.
Assist with preparing reports related to depot performance, stock levels, and order fulfillment. Provide administrative support, such as data entry, filing, and correspondence management. Collaborate with the operations and sales teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; further studies or certification in logistics, supply chain, or operations management is a plus. At least 1-2 years of experience in depot, warehouse, or logistics operations. Basic understanding of inventory management systems and depot operations. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) for administrative tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with health and safety standards in warehouse or depot environments. Physical stamina and ability to assist in lifting, sorting, and moving products.
