100 Women Peterborough is a passionate group of women committed to making a significant impact in our local community through collective giving. We believe in the power of simplicity, collaboration, and generosity to create meaningful change. How We Work? 💜 Simple Commitment: Each member donates $100 per meeting, four times a year. 💚 Efficient Meetings: Meetings are conducted in one hour or less. 🩷 Nomination & Selection Process: 1. Members current with their donations can nominate local charities for consideration. 2. Three randomly selected charities are presented by their nominators or representatives in a 5-minute presentation, followed by a Q&A. 3. Members vote for one of the three organizations via ballot. 💜 Impactful Giving: 1. The charity with the most votes receives a collective donation of $10,000 or more. 2. All members, regardless of their vote, contribute their $100 donation to the selected organization. 3. Tax receipts are issued directly to members within two weeks by the organization. 💚 Guidelines & Accountability: 1. Eligible charities must serve the Peterborough area and provide individual tax receipts. 2. Previously successful organizations are not eligible for consideration again for three years. 3. Meetings begin with a 5-minute update from the previous recipient, showcasing the impact of our donation. 💞At 100 Women Peterborough, we make giving back easy, impactful, and community-focused.
