About 1st Avenue Power

1AP is building the next generation power plant technology: turnkey, optimized power systems delivering clean, Hyperfirm, high-capacity power for demanding customer loads in a rapidly electrifying world. Founded by energy systems innovator and physicist Dr. Tom Buttgenbach with a team that has delivered 30 GW of solar and 90 GWh of storage, 1AP delivers fully integrated, software-defined power systems engineered from the ground up for performance, accountability, and scale. As AI-driven data center growth and industrial electrification accelerate global demand, the traditional grid, and the way solar plants are built, cannot keep pace. Today’s projects are assembled from fragmented components and performance defined by warranty stacks rather than system design. 1AP introduces a new paradigm: unified, modular power architectures that integrate generation, storage, and controls into a single intelligent system. Optimized at the system level — not the component level — Our software-defined power systems have 2x the energy per acre, 99.9% reliability, engineered from the ground up for speed, security, and scale. We serve hyperscalers, industrial operators, utilities, corporations and governments that require resilient, scalable power infrastructure.
