3 Islands Intermodal (3i) is one of the largest combined port services and logistics businesses in New Zealand and the largest that is locally-owned. We have been servicing customers in the New Zealand market for over 50 years. We handle all types of cargo, including container handling, bulk commodities, breakbulk cargoes and specialized project/heavy lift cargoes. We operate from Napier, Taranaki and Tauranga in the North Island and from Bluff, Lyttleton, Nelson, Port Chalmers and Timaru in the South Island. 3i is building New Zealand’s largest integrated logistics business – focusing on delivering efficient, cost-effective and safe end-to-end services to customers seeking to import, export and distribute within New Zealand.
