5 Lakes Institute is a curated network of entrepreneurs, research organizations, investors and business leaders that drives and amplifies tech-enabled GDP growth in the Midwest and Great Lakes region. This strategy, which we began working on In 2017, is focused on accelerating the pace of technological innovation and entrepreneurship across the entire Great Lakes Region. We changed our name in 2020 to 5 Lakes Institute to better reflect our efforts to promote a regional high-tech infrastructure and ecosystem and our belief in the importance of cooperation across the region. The Great Lakes region is home to a stunning collection of globally diversified, tech-rich companies, leading academic research institutions, and emerging technology ventures poised for explosive growth from innovations that leverage next-gen technologies.
