About 54kibo

54kibo interprets African design for decisions that last in contemporary homes. Founded in 2018, we work with artisans across the African continent to create lighting, wall art, furniture, and textiles shaped by craft and made to last. We believe spaces shape identity over time, and that objects gather meaning as they are lived with. Design is not something to complete. It is shaped gradually as life changes. We support interior designers, developers, and collectors in choosing well-crafted pieces that hold up over time and fit how people actually live, across residential and commercial spaces.
