A Secret Safe Place for Newborns of Tennessee is a non-profit that serves the entire state of Tennessee by educating women and communities of safe, secret options under the Safe Haven Law. Tennessee’s Safe Haven Law allows a mother to safely surrender her unharmed newborn, up to 14 days old, at a designated Safe Haven Facility, confidentially and without fear of prosecution. Our non-profit is also responsible for ensuring that the over 1,000 Safe Haven Facilities across the state of Tennessee are properly equipped and trained to facilitate a Safe Haven surrender.
