Aakha Biologics is a new kind of biotech company that values efficiency in the drug discovery process to more rapidly bring high quality therapeutics to patients. It is led by founder and CEO Hemanta Baruah, a proven drug discoverer with an approved biologic and several additional candidates currently in clinical trials. Aakha was created through a collaborative partnership model with Alloy Therapeutics’ affiliated venture studio 82VS, which leverages access to Alloy’s ATX-Gx™ transgenic mouse, suite of antibody discovery platforms, and discovery services.
