About ACQUIRE Frontline Healthcare

The African Consortium for Quality Improvement Research in Frontline Healthcare (ACQUIRE) provides a framework to develop and facilitate research in QI at the frontline. We seek sustained evidence-guided quality improvement for the frontline health worker, the health care institution and the health system to make health care more safe, responsive, equitable, effective and efficient. ACQUIRE was founded by two teaching hospitals: Kijabe Hospital and Kenyatta National Hospital– as a vehicle to drive Quality Improvement research by frontline healthcare workers. We are an academic knowledge hub for peer learning among our partner hospitals in sub-Saharan Africa. We use the co-production of data to identify key strategies (success factors, costs and resources) required to implement, redesign, and drive quality of healthcare (patient-centered care, staff satisfaction, organizational efficiency, and lower healthcare costs) at the frontline in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our Mission at ACQUIRE: To empower frontline healthcare workers, healthcare institutions and policy-makers to apply continuous evidence-based quality improvement.
