About Acton Academy Lincoln

A new school for a new generation. Acton helps your child learn in ways a traditional education simply can not. We believe school should be exciting and fun! Parents, rest easy as you see your child thrive in a balanced, individualized education. For Children, our focus is that they find true joy in learning and become empowered for life. We believe a like-minded tribe aligned around a common purpose is powerful. Learning happens all the time, and staff, parents, and children each have a powerful part to play. All parts of our learning community are engaged for support, to share perspective, and bring value. Acton Academy Lincoln uses the latest technology in a self-paced learning environment that is designed to foster responsibility, goal-setting, and teamwork. Acton students are empowered to thrive in a world that needs independent, motivated thinkers and learners. Whether it's launching a startup business, creating a tidepool habitat, playing an instrument, painting a mosaic, or programming a robot, Acton students are building real-life skills in the classroom every day. We believe the learning experience is much richer when the teacher ("Guide") offers insightful questions and facilitates hands-on learning. Guides use the Socratic method, always responding to students' questions with new questions. This exchange hones students' critical thinking skills. No boring sit in your desk teacher-led lecture-style learning at Acton! Learn more at https://www.actonacademylincoln.com/requestakit.html
