La Asociación de Entidades para la Inspección Técnica de Vehículos de la Comunidad de Madrid (AEMA-ITV) se constituyó el 20 de enero de 1989. Desde entonces su presencia en el vasto mundo del motor es patente, buscando desde su constitución la mayor fiabilidad de la labor inspectora en aras a una cada vez más exigente seguridad vial y calidad medioambiental. En la actualidad AEMA-ITV está integrada por 26 empresas de ITV que gestionan 70 estaciones de ITV, con 211 líneas de inspección.
