About AfricAI Group

AfricAI is the context layer between world-class AI and African enterprise reality. The tools that are transforming businesses globally work. The question is whether they're deployed with deep enough understanding of how African businesses actually operate - how decisions get made, where the data really lives, which use cases move the P&L fastest, and what it takes to get from pilot to production in markets where the last mile is everything. That gap is what we exist to close. We act as a strategic operating partner to Africa's leading enterprises and to the global AI vendors who want to serve them well. We don't build proprietary Africa solutions. We bring world-class AI capabilities - selected without platform bias - and deploy them with the local intelligence, management presence, and end-to-end accountability that makes them actually land. Our model is straightforward: one partner, one contract, full responsibility for delivery and results. We deploy our own AI-powered platform to compress the diagnostic and vendor selection process - identifying your highest-value use cases, sizing the opportunity, and matching best-of-breed global vendors to your specific context in weeks rather than months. Then we stay through implementation until the value is in your P&L, not just your pilot report. Four years of field experience has taught us that the use cases are largely known, the technology is ready, and the window to act is narrower than most organisations realise. What separates companies that capture the AI advantage from those that don't isn't vision. It's decisive, business-led execution. AfricAI was founded by Ido Sum - two decades building and investing in African technology enterprises, with deep C-suite relationships across Africa's leading corporates - and Oren Salomon, formerly a McKinsey and Bain partner who led Bain's Financial Services AI practice in the UK. We are based in Cape Town and London. Globally connected. Locally ingrained.
