About African Voices Platform (AVP)

African Voices Platform (AVP) is a Sheffield-based broadcast and storytelling platform amplifying African and diaspora perspectives across radio, digital media and cultural programming. Through interviews, conversations, features and collaborations, AVP creates space for ideas, experiences and creative work that connect culture, entrepreneurship, heritage and public life. We work with artists, thinkers, entrepreneurs, journalists, cultural organisations and public institutions to host meaningful dialogue, surface emerging voices and contribute to a richer public conversation about African communities in the UK and across the diaspora. Based in Sheffield and connected internationally, AVP is part of a growing ecosystem committed to expanding representation, cultural exchange and thoughtful storytelling. African Voices Platform operates a licensed DAB community radio service, is regulated by IMPRESS, and is a member of the Independent Media Association.
