About AfroPix

AfroPix is a social enterprise (UK registered SEIS/EIS) on a mission to tell authentic African and Caribbean stories, with zero data cost to the African viewer. We solve digital exclusion by providing content that is completely free to watch, ensuring viewers consume no mobile internet data—a strategic zero-data model that immediately overcomes the highest financial barrier to streaming in Africa. Our platform is the most accessible choice, unlocking a massive, underserved audience while actively campaigning for energy access and equity across the continent. We operate an active in-house studio for documentary and film development, securing exclusive IP (e.g., our second feature documentary will be on Ibrahim Traore and Burkina Faso). Furthermore, this studio creates commercials and branded content for external partners, offering brands a unique opportunity to reach our engaged, zero-data audience. We are keen to hear from brands seeking authentic reach across the continent. We commit the majority of our profits to social initiatives, reinforcing our high-impact mission. We build a sustainable content ecosystem by committing to train 10,000 African filmmakers, guaranteeing 50% participation to women to drive measurable female empowerment and ensure a low-cost, culturally resonant content supply. Our world-class founding team, which includes a former President of Sony, combines film production expertise, local market knowledge, and unparalleled experience in scaling global entertainment platforms, enabling us to execute this blend of disruptive zero-data technology and social investment better and faster than any other team.
