About Agape Dental Ministry

We are a non-profit, donor-driven organization serving people who have no access to traditional dentists. We relieve oral pain, detect and treat disease, teach and encourage oral preventive care, and give back smiles and confidence which leads to jobs, housing and stability. A non-profit organization and always needing volunteers, Agape Dental Ministry is only limited in its service by its donors. There will always be enough people that need help. We need you, and your community needs us. We're a FREE dental ministry serving Mecklenburg County NC residents that are 18+, below twice the poverty limit, and have no access to dental insurance. We also serve all military veterans and their spouses. We are not affiliated with any other group. Our History: Our ministry began in 2002, using a dental bus to serve a very large, under-served population in Mecklenburg County. In 2010, one of our volunteers, a local oral surgeon retired and donated his entire office equipment to the ministry. After finding and renovating a space at New Hope Baptist Church in Charlotte, Agape Dental Ministry opened the doors to its free-standing facility on May 6, 2013. The need for our services has continued to grow, as has our ministry. God has faithfully provided volunteers and donations that allow us to continue serving our Charlotte community.
