About Agape National Academy of Music Inc. (ANAM Georgia)

Agape National Academy of Music Inc. (ANAM Georgia) is a BIPOC- and immigrant-led nonprofit organization expanding access to high-quality, culturally responsive music education for children, youth, and families across Metro Atlanta. Through our Community Root Music Program, ANAM Georgia provides free, community-based music and arts programming integrated with literacy support, homework assistance, social-emotional learning, and family engagement. Our programs are intentionally designed to support whole-child development by strengthening academic skills, emotional well-being, leadership, and community connection through music. We primarily serve children and youth from low-income households, including African American, immigrant, and refugee families, while welcoming participants from all backgrounds. Programs are delivered in trusted community spaces where families already gather, removing financial, cultural, and transportation barriers to participation. Children as young as age three engage in developmentally appropriate instruction in piano, ukulele, voice, rhythm and movement, drumming, and general music, alongside music-integrated literacy and academic enrichment activities that support school readiness, focus, confidence, and self-regulation. Music instruction is used as a powerful tool to reinforce literacy, sequencing, memory, early math concepts, and social-emotional skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and self-expression. ANAM Georgia also partners with churches and community organizations to support music leadership development, student performances, and family-centered learning experiences that strengthen relationships and community ownership.
