About AI for LIFE CRC Bid

Our mission is to use AI effectively in all parts of the education system to improve its efficacy for students, teachers, administrators, parents and carers, governments, and other funding organisations. Generate AI-relevant curricula and training materials that are pedagogically sound, advancing learning design, learners' experiences and learners' outcomes. Prepare students for workplaces and society more broadly in which AI technologies are ubiquitous and influential at all levels of lived experience. The research proposed by AI for LIFE aims to identify ways in which educators and training providers can address the challenges and issues that may arise when integrating AI into classrooms and other educational facilities. This means meeting challenges like: -Safe and secure use of AI, for example, ethical use, data privacy, infrastructure, technical capability and policies surrounding use. -Fit for purpose AI which means understanding and implementing AI that is developed by and for educational and training purposes, rather than only having access to AI made for other areas. -Evidence & evaluation, in other words, trusted AI. Any AI used in these areas needs to have solid research and evaluation to know what impact AI has on learner experiences and outcomes along with how it can aid teachers going forward. -Equity and access, so that every student and facility in the country is on the same playing field when it comes to its use and integration. -Inclusivity and how it can be used and accessed by those with differing needs, but also add in providing them more equity in their education experience. -Teacher training and organisations readiness is also incredibly important, so teachers and organisations know what AI can do for them and are at the front of any integration and use. Along with all the education and training areas, there is a challenge across the board to ensure that the role of AI is to help develop future workforce.
