About Akonilede Yoruba

At Akonilede Yoruba, we help children and adults become fluent in Yoruba through structured, live online classes led by certified native instructors. Many learners struggle with inaccurate resources, incorrect pronunciation, and a lack of clear guidance. We solve that problem with a curriculum designed to build real fluency with correct tonal pronunciation, practical conversation skills, and cultural understanding at every level. As a global online Yoruba language school, we have grown from 4 students to over 2,000 learners across Canada, Nigeria, the United States, Australia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Germany, and beyond. Our programs are designed for: • Parents who want their children to speak Yoruba confidently • Adults reconnecting with their heritage • Beginners seeking structured, accurate instruction • Professionals and non-native learners interested in Yoruba culture We combine live interactive classes, structured learning pathways, and cultural experiences to ensure our students don’t just learn Yoruba, but also ensure they speak it clearly and confidently. We were recognized as a 2021 National Education Advancement Award recipient and featured on BBC News and Channels Television, and we are committed to delivering excellence in Yoruba language education worldwide.
