It can also help build a sense of empowerment and improve quality of life. Recent research indicates the benefits of physical activity extend beyond controlling symptoms and side-effects of cancer therapy; it is shown to reduce cancer progression and improve a patient's response to anticancer therapy. AKTIV Against Cancer establish Pusterom (Breathing room) which is exercise rooms i Norwegian Cancer hospitals. With Oslo University Hospital and The Norwegian School of Sports Sciences we educate AKTIVinstructors.
