About Almeria Institute of Integrative Science

Integrative Science emerged from the need to find solutions to complex problems. We live in an interconnected world in which no single area of knowledge can provide solutions that are up to the task of addressing new challenges. Every day, new demands arise, driven by globalization and socio-environmental changes. In Integrative Science, we obtain more effective responses through the interconnection of several areas. Thus, it is possible, for example, for engineering to join forces with biology and medicine to find solutions for health and the environment, for physics to improve optical systems for microsurgery, and for statistics to provide adequate responses based on the analysis of massive databases. We need to invest in the ability to explore science beyond conventional limits. In addition, science must engage in dialogue, meet market demands, and accommodate the needs and desires of different cultures and ethnicities, facilitating life in all dimensions. Integrative Science at the Almeria Institute unites modern science with all peoples' traditional knowledge and cultures, expanding its databases and using science to benefit evolution in various areas.
