About Alternative Tourism Association

WE ARE a group of enthusiastic people with different backgrounds, who want to change things into something better. We love local values, invest our free time in the association’s projects, put our talent in the service of the association, do everything we can for all our projects’ success and we are always exploring new perspectives in the areas we are passionate about. In fewer words, we are the Alternative Tourism Association. WE WANT to show people the pluses of the place we live in – from the city or region, to the whole of Romania. We aim to change long-term mentalities, one of our ideals being convince everyone that things should not be done “just to be done,” but they should be done the right way! WE AIM to become the official authority in alternative tourism in Romania and to create the standard of the “Alternative Tourism Guarantee” as a quality standard in this field. WE UNDERSTAND and accept the reality we live in, with its ups and downs. We know that changes are hard to do and it takes time and we believe we can change things into better, being willing to work until we succeed. We have the courage to try and change mentalities and behaviors even when we’re told that nothing can be done. We believe in what we say and we say what we believe, even when telling the truth or doing the right move is not the most comfortable thing to do. WE KNOW how to do things in a conventional way, but we always decide to explore new perspectives and broaden our horizons. We are constantly hampered by hurdles, but we’re having “fun of trouble” and we keep going further. We are the Alternative Tourism Association and if you identify with our beliefs, we invite you to join us!
