About Altneuland Press

Altneuland is the first Hebrew-language is a literary home founded in Berlin to bring Hebrew literature's voices to a global audience. Founded by Dory Manor and Moshe Sakal, Altneuland Press publishes original Hebrew works alongside translations into English and German (and additional languages), working in partnership with publishers, translators, and cultural institutions in key international markets. At the heart of our editorial vision are stories that touch on pivotal moments — personal, historical, cultural — and strive to illuminate the human experience in all its complexity. Every title in our catalogue is selected for its literary courage, narrative power, and emotional and conceptual depth. As a private company, we retain full editorial autonomy and a transnational perspective.
