About ALVIM Srl

ALVIM provides innovative, high-tech solutions for detection and monitoring of bacterial biofilm in industrial plants. ALVIM Technology is currently used in more than 30 Countries, in the five Continents, and every day it helps the Technical Staff in charge of cleaning and sanitation treatments, in different industrial fields, to optimize such procedures and to prevent biofilm-related issues, ranging from microbial corrosion (MIC) to Legionella risk. The layer of bacteria (biofilm) that forms on surfaces in contact with water and other liquids is a major problem in many industrial applications. Indeed, it causes several issues: - microbial corrosion (MIC); - decreased efficiency of heat exchangers (loss of 30% and more); - proliferation of pathogens (90% of bacteria live in biofilms); - many many more. The ALVIM real-time, on line, Biofilm Monitoring System is able to detect bacterial settlement since its first phases (down to 1% of surface covered by microorganisms) and, based on these data, to manually or automatically adjust and optimize cleaning treatments / biocide treatments (in industrial water systems, cooling towers, pure water lines, etc.) allowing to check, at the same time, the efficacy of the cleaning. Among the advantages of the ALVIM Technology: > early warning detection of bacterial biofilm growing on pipelines, tanks, heat exchangers, RO membranes, ... > while fouling sensors detect "generic deposit", ALVIM probes detect bacterial biofilm > optimization of cleaning and sanitation treatments (biocides, disinfectants, ...) > easy to install, easy to operate > virtually maintenance-free probe > real-time, continuous biofilm monitoring > high sensitivity > modular, scalable system More info at http://www.alvim.it
