𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 AME has been developing media formats at the intersection of television, radio, the internet, streaming and film-based brand communication since 1995. Founded by Thomas Aigner, the company was among the early pioneers of media convergence in the German-speaking world. 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 AME built its reputation by redefining formats rather than merely adapting content to new platforms. Landmark projects include netNite on ZDF, regarded as the first regular internet TV programme on German television, and netRadio for Bayern 3, an original Thomas Aigner concept that became the first trimedia radio programme in ARD history: broadcast on radio, visible via webcams, and readable on the listener’s computer through a custom-built web page push system. 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 Long before the term “second screen” entered common use, AME had already created an integrated audience experience. Even earlier, the Thomas Aigner-produced and hosted programme Talkline connected radio and television in a true simulcast, airing simultaneously on radio and on VOX. 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 For Big Brother, AME created the official online presence and programmed the complete streaming architecture and load balancing for Deutsche Telekom when no standard solutions existed for that scale. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀, 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 AME worked for broadcasters, media companies and institutions including ZDF, Bayern 3, Schulen ans Netz, F.A.Z. Business Radio and FAZ.NET. 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 With up to 33 employees at peak times, AME combined entrepreneurial substance with creative agility and developed proprietary solutions such as PAYperSTREAM®, TowerCam and LogoToaster®. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 .. for high-end documentary production, strategic media development and the internationally recognised series PilotsEYE.tv.
