AMS Industrial is a heavy industrial general contractor specializing in large infrastructure work across the United States focusing on dam and waterway rehabilitation. We self-perform complex mechanical scopes including large and small waterway gates, valves, strainers, air and water piping systems. From installing bulkhead guides and modernizing mechanical systems to restoring structural components around the waterline, AMS delivers results that keep critical infrastructure operating safely and reliably. With a skilled team of traveling superintendents and millwrights, AMS Industrial excels in projects where precision, reliability, and accountability are critical. We mobilize quickly, manage risk conservatively, and maintain strong working relationships with project owners and subcontractors alike. Our team brings decades of specialized field experience to federal, hydroelectric, and industrial projects, partnering with various federal agencies to execute technically demanding work in high-risk environments. Our clients include the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation, Department of Energy, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, utilities, state and local municipalities. Founded in 1967 as American Mine Services, we transitioned into industrial infrastructure work in the early 2020s. In 2025, we formally adopted the name AMS Industrial to reflect that evolution as we no longer do mining work. Much has changed since our founding in 1967, but one thing that has never changed is our unwavering commitment to safety.
