Het bureau werd opgericht in 2000 (als Constructief Bouwadvies). AmstelBouwadvies bestaat uit Huub Oostweegel (directeur, adviseur) en Alexander Heinis (bouwkundige, tekenaar). Huub Oostweegel is sinds 1993 continue betrokken bij het ontwikkelen en renoveren van bestaand onroerend goed.
