About Anaconda - Checkmate Sea Energy
The Anaconda uses patented bulge tube technology to harness wave energy. As a wave passes, it creates a bulge within the tube which travels the length of the tube to a power takeoff which generates renewable power. Unlike many wave energy devices built from large, costly, rigid structures, the Anaconda Lobe-Tendon's flexible design uses less material per unit of power. This not only reduces costs but also takes advantage of rubber’s natural compliance and proven durability in harsh marine environments.
