About Antenatal and Postnatal Psychology Network
The Antenatal & Postnatal Psychology Network (APPN), was founded by Perinatal Clinical Psychologist, Dr Renée Miller in 2014. A group of special interest psychologists with exemplary qualifications and experience in perinatal mental health, joined forces to provide a personalised service to Melbourne's hopeful, expectant and new parents. According to Dr Renée Miller "my aim was to facilitate a top-tier perinatal psychology service, accessible to women and couples requiring support in the conception, antenatal, and early parenting phases of life. I now collaborate with 27 exceptional perinatal psychologists in 21 locations". In the 10 years that APPN has been established, the network of psychologists has gained the trust of Melbourne/Victorian GPs, Obstetricians, Midwives and Maternal & Child Health Nurses who know that APPN has continued to value 1. the qualifications, expertise, experience and warmth of their clinicians 2. the personalised contact options available to referrers and to their patients through direct contact with the psychologist selected by the patient 3. the dissemination of responsible, helpful, evidence based information on APPN/s website and social media platforms 4.
