About Area Rug Shop

Area Rug Shop is a proudly Canadian, family-owned business focused on one thing and doing it exceptionally well: rugs. With five large showroom locations across Ontario, we’ve reimagined the rug shopping experience. Our open, design-forward spaces allow customers to see, touch, and compare thousands of rugs with ease, making the process intuitive, inspiring, and enjoyable. We carry the largest selections of area rugs in Canada, with styles ranging from modern and minimalist to traditional and transitional. Each collection is thoughtfully designed for real homes, balancing design, durability, and everyday functionality. Whether it’s a busy family room, a cozy bedroom, or a statement space, we help customers find the right rug for how they live. Our team brings deep product knowledge and a highly specialized focus. We don’t do a little bit of everything. We do rugs, and we really know our rugs. At Area Rug Shop, we believe great design should be accessible. We offer high-quality, style-driven rugs at approachable price points, backed by an in-store experience that sets us apart. Visit us in-store or online to experience rug shopping the way it was meant to be.
